He Sang With N SYNC, But When He Flawlessly Belts Whitney Houston, Millions Are Floored
He thought his music career was over—until he did this on stage. No wonder this has 1 million views in 24 hours!
You probably haven’t heard the name “Johnny Manuel” yet, but after seeing the following performance, you’ll understand why everyone is starting to talk about him.
At age 14, the singer from Flint, Michigan was signed to a record label. He even went on to tour with famed boy band NSYNC, but was dropped from the label for apparently no reason.
Johnny thought his dreams of being a famous singer were crushed. But things are quickly turning around, thanks to America’s Got Talent.
Before he sang, Johnny told the judges, “As a kid I thought that I was gonna take off and see the stars, and obviously it didn’t happen that way. I hope what can happen is that I’m finally able to be who I am and present myself and my music to the world.”
And with that, he proceeded to belt out a cover of Whitney Houston‘s “I Have Nothing,” which just so happens to be one of the most difficult songs to pull off. But boy, did he do the late singer proud.
“Whitney hears you, honey!” Tyra Banks shouted out during his audition.
As you’re about to see, Johnny left all the judges completely gobsmacked. They, of course, put him through to the next round.
Meanwhile, this one performance is already going massively viral with over 1 million views on YouTube in just one day!
